Questions raised as makers nearly triple cost of DTP vaccine

When Lederle Laboratories announced last month that it would remain in the DTP market, some U.S. pediatricians might have had reason to sigh with relief: continued production and distribution of the vaccine ensured that last year's serious supply shortages and deferment of booster immunizations would be averted.

But Lederle noted that it could only stay in the market at a price.
