New `Redbook' in the mail to AAP members

Fellows will receive the 1986 edition of the "Red Book" in the mail this month.

The 20th edition of the AAP Report of the Committee on Infectious Diseases includes recommendations for controlling infections in day care, as well as guidelines for diseases like AIDS, pertussis (whooping cough), Haemophilus influenzae type b, hepatitis B, Lyme disease, chickenpox and influenza.

Diseases that physicians should report to health officials are also listed in the new "Red Book."
