Sports event adds excitement to joint pediatric conference

An exciting mix of football and fellowship will be featured at the Oregon-Colorado Pediatric Conference on Sept. 12-13 in Eugene, Ore.

The event marks the first time the AAP chapters of Oregon and Colorado — distanced by several hundred miles — have planned a joint conference. Ironically, the idea to hold a joint conference came out of a football schedule.

When Colorado Chapter member L. Joseph Butterfield, M.D., heard that his state university's football team would play the University of Oregon this fall, he thought this would be a good occasion to bring the two states' chapters together.
