Academy's objectives remain strong as leadership changes

On Page 1 of this issue is the announcement of Dr. M. Harry Jennison's departure from the office of AAP Executive Director. All of us in the Academy's official family view his departure with a great deal of regret. Those in our membership who have not had the opportunity for close involvement with the Academy office may not have reason for a full appreciation of his contributions.

Dr. Jennison has been AAP executive director during the past seven years. During this time, the Academy has undertaken the most ambitious growth program in its history, gaining new members and enlarging the number and scope of its membership services. The considerable growth necessitated a move from our former Evanston, Ill., location to the new Academy headquarters at Elk Grove Village, Ill., near O'Hare International Airport. The building of the new, award-winning, cost-efficient headquarters was financed through the Growth for the Future campaign.
