Spokespersons promote safe sunning for kids

AAP media spokespersons are talking "skin sense" to parents nationwide as part of a grass-roots public information campaign.

Developed by the AAP Division of Communications, the "Safe Sunning for Children" campaign is being promoted on a state-by-state basis by AAP media spokespersons across the country.

Through news releases to the media and letters to newspaper editors, spokespersons are explaining the health risks resulting from too much sunshine. Copies of an AAP-endorsed brochure, "For Every Child Under the Sun," also are being made available to the press and public.
