Accidental injuries are related to a child's behavior and development not just to chance or a certain "proneness" for accidents, according to accident prevention expert Michel Manciaux, M.D. Dr. Manciaux, who has been involved in the World Health Organization's global program for accident prevention, said that the possibility and exposure of a child to an accidental injury is relative to his or her level of development.
