Health workers pat tribute to Title V birthday

Hundreds of people, including several Academy members, gathered in Washington, D.C., recently to celebrate federal legislation that for 50 years has improved the health of mothers and their children.

The 50th anniversary of Title V of the Social Security Act, which created maternal and child health programs throughout the United States, was celebrated June 8 in grand fashion.
