Former chapter leader selected District VII alternate chairman

A past chairman of the AAP Chapter Chairmen's Committee has been elected alternate chairman of AAP District VII.

Carden Johnston, M.D., director of Emergency Medicine at Children's Hospital, Birmingham, will take office in November at the AAP Annual Meeting.

Dr. Johnston served as chairman of the Chapter Chairmen's Committee in 1984-85, Alabama chapter chairman in 1980-83 and Alabama alternate chapter chairman in 1979-80. He also is a member of the AAP Section on Emergency Medicine.
