CORRECTION

In the July issue, incorrect information was given in the article titled, "Pimecrolimus shown to be effective anti-inflammatory agent."

Following is the correct information. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released a public health advisory with new safety information concerning pimecrolimus (www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/elidel/default.htm).

The FDA also stated that labeling changes would be required for pimecrolimus, including a black box warning about cancer risk. At this time, however, pimecrolimus does not have a black box warning on its label.
