Obesity and anorexia nervosa are widespread throughout the United States today. These problems result from two concerns an intense preoccupation with food that coexists with an idealized body image. Television, according to a Boston pediatrician and TV expert, constitutes a major source of inactivity for U.S. citizens. In addition, heavy viewing affects obesity and anorexia.
