Future sales of ATVs halted, AAP says further steps needed

While makers and distributors of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) have agreed to halt future sales of their three-wheel models, AAP officials wam that further action is necessary to protect children.

"Too many more children stand to suffer because the agreement does nothing to curb four-wheel ATV sales or to recall the ATVs currently being used by an unsuspecting public," AAP President Richard Narkewicz, M.D., said.
