Frequently Asked Questions About Member Subscriptions
  1. What is my "Customer Number"? Can I use my "Members-Only Channel" login?

    AAP News is a separate subscription, and requires separate activation and login. Your Members-Only Channel login will not work. If you are a Member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, your Customer Number is your Membership ID number. Please use this number to activate your online subscription to AAP News.

  2. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

    Yes, when you complete the subscription process, you will receive a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  3. What if I forget my password?

    If you have used our Auto Sign-In process on your computer, your log-in should still work. Using this, you can change your password to a new one. If not, you can If your institution does not have a paper subscription, it can get an electronic version of AAP News by subscribing at our online-only rates. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  4. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

    Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future. The paper and electronic versions are also available as separate subscriptions.

  5. Who is eligible for a Member Subscription?

    AAP Members are eligible for Member subscriptions to AAP News, providing them with a paper and electronic version of the journal.

  6. How can I access the AAP News Online if I am not an AAP Member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

    You may wish to apply for AAP Membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which provides access to the electronic version. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  7. How do I become a member of AAP?

    Information about AAP Membership and application forms are available from the AAP.
